Refund policy

At The Cardboard Cave, we want every customer to be satisfied with their purchase. We take care when describing, photographing and packaging our Pokémon and football trading cards, sealed products and graded collectibles.

1. Your Right to Cancel

If you purchase from us online as a consumer, you normally have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, without giving a reason.

To exercise this right, please email the_cardboardcave@outlook.com within 14 days of delivery, clearly stating that you wish to cancel your order.

You then have a further 14 days to return the goods.

2. Condition of Returned Items

Please return items carefully packaged, preferably using their original protective packaging.

You are entitled to inspect goods as you would in a physical shop. If goods have been handled beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, we may make an appropriate deduction for any resulting loss in value, where permitted by law.

This includes handling affecting the condition or collectibility of trading cards, graded-card cases and sealed product packaging.

Opening a product does not automatically remove your statutory cancellation rights.

3. Graded Cards and Singles

We photograph and describe our graded cards and singles as accurately as possible.

For individually photographed cards, the card shown is the card supplied unless the listing explicitly states otherwise.

Please review the photographs, grading details and description before purchasing. Your statutory cancellation and consumer rights remain unaffected.

4. Sealed Pokémon Products

Sealed products are supplied in the condition described in their individual listings.

Where products are returned after being opened, damaged or handled beyond what is necessary for inspection, we may assess any reduction in value in accordance with applicable consumer law.

5. Return Postage

For a change-of-mind cancellation, customers are responsible for the direct cost of returning the item, where permitted by law.

We recommend tracked and appropriately insured return postage, particularly for valuable collectibles.

If an item is faulty, damaged on arrival, incorrect or not as described, please contact us. We will arrange an appropriate remedy and cover reasonable return costs where required by law.

6. Refunds

Where you exercise your statutory right to cancel, we will refund the item price and any applicable standard outbound delivery charge.

Refunds will be issued within 14 days of receiving returned goods or receiving evidence that they have been sent back, whichever is earlier, subject to applicable law.

Refunds will normally be made using your original payment method.

7. Damaged or Incorrect Orders

If your order arrives damaged, faulty or incorrect, please contact us as soon as possible with your order number and, where available, photographs showing the issue.

This helps us investigate and resolve the matter promptly. Your statutory rights are not affected if you cannot provide photographs.
